Most Admired

2017

For the third year in a row Villa Maria has been named one of the most admired wine brands in the world. It is the only New Zealand winery to be in the top 10, placing fourth in this year’s “World’s Most Admired Wine Brands” list.

The list, operated by Drinks International magazine is compiled annually by polling over 200 wine industry experts including key buyers, wine writers, journalists, Masters of Wine and wine educators who consider more than 100,000 wineries. These range from highly expensive iconic wines to commercial brands coming from all regions, and their styles and qualities are rated against each other.
