Tasting Tips

Wine Tasting

Visitors will usually enjoy three–five cellar doors throughout the day, enjoying lunch at one of the stops. For a full list of Cellar Doors view our Wine Trail map.

While tasting, you are welcome to drink the wines, or quite commonly, use a spittoon to spit the wines in to.

Please ensure you enjoy responsibly. We encourage you to arrange a tour or driver.

Exploring Marlborough

The qualities that make Marlborough one of New Zealand’s top wine-producing region are the same reason it is also one of the most popular holiday spots in the country - year-round sunshine, fabulous food and wine, beautiful scenery, luxury accommodation and exceptional outdoor activities on land and sea.

As well as a wine lover’s dream Marlborough is also a magnet for nature-lovers including hikers tackling New Zealand’s Great Walks and seafarers keen to explore Queen Charlotte Sound and the coastline's many secluded waterways.
